Unlocking the creative potential of children
For children and staff in London’s primary schools and primary SEND settings access to high quality, inspiring arts, cultural and creative opportunities is a challenge in the face of shrinking budgets and pressure on results.
Stepping into to try and bridge the gap is A New Direction with their Primary Arts Programme, supported by The City of London Corporation City Educational Trust Fund.
Primary Arts offers free opportunities for schools. It aims to unlock the creative potential, cultural capital and skills of teachers and children.
Thirdperson were engaged to develop the naming, a bright engaging visual identity tool kit and support materials to launch and embed the Primary Arts programme through London’s school community.
We developed a layered identity system the referenced the four core pillars while adding equity to the A New Direction brand. This was supported by a bright visual illustration style to apply across teaching resources and the programme strands
The programme was so successful on its initial pilot phase that it has now been extended for the next three and a half years.
“Thirdperson have been crucial to our development of the identity of our Primary Arts programme. They have created a lively, joyful, and engaging visual identity that brings the programme to life for our audience as well as creating materials and resources that are clear, appealing and easy to use.”
