East Works – helping to tell East London’s story
LLDC had a story to tell about its innovative employment and skills projects to local people, businesses and potential partners in East London.
As the Mayor of London’s strategic regeneration body for the area around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the London Legacy Development Corporation is committed to redressing the balance of the capital so that east Londoners share in the benefits of economic growth and prosperity.
Better life chances for East Londoners is good for London and for the whole of the UK. Industry, jobs, skills and education are at the heart of this.
The Corporation needed to excite people about the opportunities available, showcase its successes and engage a wider audience in its bold ambitions.
Compelling case
We worked closely with LLDC to bring its vision to life through a compelling narrative and campaign. We helped the team to hone its message and mission: to connect the talents of east Londoners to the opportunities being created around the Park so that everyone has a chance to share in the benefits, whatever their background.
This meant telling the stories – in their own words – of local people, employers, businesses and partners who have benefitted from the Corporation’s work.
The result is East Works: a compelling invitation to employers, public authorities, schools, colleges and, above all, to east Londoners, to be inspired and to work together to connect the extraordinary opportunities around the Park with the incredible talent in the area.
What makes East Works so powerful is that it isn’t just the story of LLDC’s vital work, it’s also the story of east London – past, present and future.
