A IP start-up with attitude
Start-up intellectual property firm SonderIP wanted a confident brand to help them stand out in a crowded market and fuel their growth.
SonderIP are intellectual property (IP) specialists with a different approach to providing expert trademark, design rights and copyright services to new businesses, SMEs and global brands.
Unlike some IP firms that set the fee clock running the moment they start talking to clients, SonderIP is completely focused on adding value. The firm’s first steps to a new client appointment usually include a complimentary IP audit and no-obligation conversations to understand clients’ needs.
At the time they came to us, SonderIP were still a start-up and wanted our help to design and launch an identity and positioning that would communicate to prospective customers the key propositions that differentiate them from their competitors in the market.
Knowing that a business usually only gets one shot to successfully launch its brand, we conducted collaborative workshops with the Sonder team to lay the groundwork and make sure we got it right first time.
The result is a bright, contemporary and confident visual brand – in contrast to the more conservative look of their IP rivals – that includes a nod to the TM symbol familiar to the intellectual property world as part of the firm’s name.
To capture Sonder’s key points of differentiation we designed and scripted a short animtaion that stresses the SonderIP goal of adding real value and building long-term relationships.
To maximise the client’s budget, we edited the master video so it could be cut down into four key message points and used as visual assets on Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
We also designed the firm’s website, a brochure telling the SonderIP story and a series of supporting graphics.
