A New Direction

Create, think and learn: Regardless of wealth, geography or luck, all London children have the right to experience the diverse culture the city has to offer. A New Direction’s mission, through engaging with schools, businesses and individuals, is to guarantee that right.

There’s no doubt that culture and the arts have a role to play in the development of our young people. A New Direction (AND), an Arts Council Bridge organisation, is committed to ensuring that London’s young people get the most out of the capital’s creative and cultural offerings.

Engaging young people, schools and businesses
Working with partners, business and individuals across the capital, AND’s work is underpinned by a deep understanding of London, the challenges children and young people face in their city. It aims to bring people together in new ways to provide the best, most equitable cultural education and creative opportunities possible.

This means bringing cultural organisations and schools together to offer children curriculum-based cultural opportunities to activate a child’s curiosity and critical capacity.

A shared passion
We’re passionate about AND’s core belief that all young Londoners have the right to access and influence culture. Using creative problem solving and visually appealing graphics, we’re lucky enough to support AND in mission to create positive change across schools, education and communities.
Challenging projects
As one of AND’s trusted creative partners, we’ve worked on a variety of projects over the past few years to help increase engagement and achieve the organisation’s objectives.
The work often starts with a short but challenging brief – ‘How can we create an engagement campaign that will bring cultural organisations and schools together?’ or ‘How can we interpret research data to produce a coherent digital presentation which will ignite conversations between schools and arts organisations?’ Big questions, but a creative partnership approach has served the organisation well.
